I have lived in Lauderdale for twenty-one years with my husband, Matt, and my three children.
I am the Executive Director for Crescent Cove, where we offer support for children with shortened life expectancies and the families who love them. Crescent Cove offers respite and hospice care, and is one of only three pediatric palliative care homes in the country, and the only one in the midwest. It is a joyful place on Twin Lakes in Brooklyn Center, where neighbors take the children on pontoon boat rides, volunteers bring rescue horses to visit, and pollinators swarm our native gardens. I am honored to care for families in this way.
My oldest child, Ash attends the University of Minnesota with the hope of becoming a high school English teacher. Twins Loue and Lloyd attend Roseville Area High School. They love boys volleyball! My husband Matt retired from the St. Paul Police. He was awarded a Bush Fellowship for his role in improving 21st century policing, and finished his MPA at the Humphrey School. His capstone project was community driven, story based training for police. He now owns his own business Rosehill Stay-at-Home Services, where he helps seniors stay independent and in their own homes. We have two dogs, Archie and Molly, and a popular flock of backyard chickens.
I am passionate about building strong communities in which everyone can thrive.
I volunteer with many community organizations, the Roseville Area Schools, and my church. I also recently became a Minnesota Master Naturalist! In my spare time, I love Nordic walking, reading, and entertaining.
